Update

There's not much to update...we had a busy holiday this year...busier and filled with more travel than usual.  Delaney and I drove to Salem the Saturday before Christmas.  Derek was supposed to join us there on Christmas Eve, but b/c of Chicago's lovely weather, his flight was cancelled.  He missed Christmas morning, but was there for the afternoon and dinner.  Christmas was great (does anyone really ever say that it wasn't???), we had a good time with the family.  Delaney loved seeing and playing with Caroline, my cousin's daughter.  Saturday after Christmas we flew from Pittsburgh to Disney World to spend the week with Derek's family.  It was quite an experience getting there (too long of a story...to sum it up, the airline had no record of our reservation...NONE!), but we made it nonetheless, 14 hours after we were supposed to be there!   We had a great time.  Weather was good, no rain, although one day was definitely a jeans day.  Highlights from the week: fairly good food, fun rides (for those who could enjoy them), Derek and I went to the Capital One Bowl (Michigan State lost, but it was fun to go), Delaney went to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for a semi-princess makeover (hair, nails, and makeup only...I wasn't about to spend 2 1/2 times what I already was paying just so she could get a dress!) and had a blast, managing to make it to all 4 parks (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios) and very late nights which led to exhaustion by the end of the week.  Derek, his dad, and brother all ended up with a bout of food poisoning, though, and felt the effects for a couple of days.  Great holidays, although we missed our New Year's tradition with the Stertzbachs....next year it returns!

Post holidays have just been our regular routine.  Derek and I work, Delaney goes to school.  Nothing exciting about that!  I'm six months now, and Delaney is getting excited to be a big sis!  Derek and Delaney are actually skiing right now somewhere in Wisconsin.  They just went up for the night.  Hopefully, she enjoys it.
